For a couple of years now we have had a Mimosa Street Library where books are donated and can be borrowed or can go permanently to a new home. Over the years its use has declined and so we would like to revive this great resource. Thank you to Mrs Cleary who has cleaned up the library and sorted all the books. It is now ready again for eager readers to come and enjoy a book. We have moved it closer to the canteen, in the walkway between the canteen and the staffroom so it is more easily accessible but is still out of the rain. So, how does the Street Library work?
Take a book
– If you see a book you would like to read, take it.
Give a book
– Leave a book in the library, which you no longer need, for other book lovers to enjoy.
Share a book
– Return your book to the Street Library or pass it on to a friend, neighbour or relative.
**If you have a few books to donate and the library is looking full, please drop them into the office and we will keep the books and replenish the library when book numbers are getting low.
