Community involvement
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.
Joining the P&C is a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!
We organise a range of community events throughout the year!
Father's Day Breakfast
Dads, Uncles, Grandads and Special People enjoy our annual 'DUGS' breakfast to celebrate Father's Day!
Trivia Night
The Mimosa Trivia Night is a much loved event for our parents each year!
Fireworks Spectacular
The Mimosa Fireworks Spectacular and carnival is our main fundraising event for the year and is enjoyed by many families in the Frenchs Forest community.
Band Program
We are proud to sponsor and coordinate the school's incredibly successful band program each year. With 3 large bands and a strings ensemble, music education is alive and well at Mimosa PS!
Mother's Day Breakfast
Our community breakfast to celebrate Mother's Day is a special day in our calendar of events! Mums, Aunties, Grandmothers and Special People are all invited to our 'MAGS' breakfast.
The Mimosa P&C coordinates or directly provides services at the school in addition raising funds that contribute to school assets and teaching resources in order to:
- assist in providing facilities upgrades and equipment for the school where the need arises
- provide a voice for parents and the community in major decisions concerning the school
- enhance community engagement through school events
- facilitate communication and social interaction across the school.
We also coordinate various sub-committees that support the school community, such as canteen, social and events, uniform shop, band and sustainability.

P&C meetings

All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend so they can be informed about what's happening in the school and how their child benefits from new programs. Come along to learn more and have your say!
