Uniforms
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
is suitable for all body shapes.

Mimosa Public School takes pride in the appearance of its students. Children are expected to wear their uniform at all times. Hats are a compulsory component of the uniform with a playground policy of "no hat - shade play".
The Mimosa Uniform Shop is a sub-committee of the parents and citizens' association (P&C) with the aim of providing an affordable and accessible uniform for the students. We supply both new and second-hand uniforms.
The shop is open on Fridays from 8:50 to 9:30am. Please respect these times as the volunteers are also parents with work and other commitments.
If you are a new family starting at the school, we request that you make an appointment to ensure one of our volunteers can spend the necessary time with you. Generally, a new starter appointment will last around 20 minutes.
You can also place an order online for uniforms via the Uniform Shop Online Site mps-uniform.square.site. Your order will be delivered to your nominated child in their classroom. Instructions on how to place an order can be found here.
The uniform shop is staffed and run entirely by a wonderful group of parent volunteers. We can only continue to offer these services if enough parents volunteer their time. If you can spare any time, please send an email to mimosaclothingshop@gmail.com or pop into the uniform shop and leave your details.
