Learning from Home

Term 2 Learning From Home packs

The teachers have been busy preparing ‘Learning From Home’ packages which will support the learning activities planned for Weeks 1 and 2 of Term 2. It is important to remember that learning from home is not titled ‘online learning’ or ‘learning with technology’ although components of the learning packages could include an online or technology based activity. We are continuing to modify, update and include new ways of completing activities with the aim of keeping students motivated with their learning. ‘Learning From Home’ plans will still have some pen and paper activities and some computer/online activities to balance the work students are undertaking, to ensure students aren’t always on devices and to ensure households are supported where devices need to be shared among family members.

It is important that the children do not access the activities inside the packs until Term 2 commences (Wednesday 29th April). The ‘Learning From Home’ plans with explicit instructions will be sent home via School Enews, or posted on Google Classroom at the beginning of each week. If you have not received these, they can be found under the Newsletters & Notes section.

Please be aware that we want to continue to encourage safe social-distancing and therefore ask parents and students to be respectful of these measures, stay 1.5m from anyone else when on the school grounds and please leave the school grounds as quickly as possible. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation.

Learning from home without technology

We understand some students do not have access to a device or internet for online learning. We have been lending laptops to families who have contacted us to let us know that borrowing a school device would help them with the home learning. Please let us know via email if you would like to borrow a device so we can set up a time for you to collect one.
